  • Get your perks! They are in a box in the Chest section of the items tab! The perks themselves can be found in Production on the items tab. They will increase how much you get of one resource per hr by 25%. Wait until your city is no longer protected to use them though because I have noticed that it glitches and does not always apply the perk while under protection.

  • Build 3 of each Lumber mill, Mine, and Quarry in your field. You don't need any farms because you get plenty of food from Camps. Upgrade one of each to a level 3. You should have one level 3 Lumber mill, Mine, and Quarry, and have two lvl 1 Lumber mill, Mine, and Quarry. This should give you 9 quest that will give enough resources to move on.

NOTE: If you want to build a farm go ahead and build one but only one. (You don't have to though because later on when you are much stronger you will be able to get food from your outposts.) I'd say to build one farm/corp every third level upgrade of your fort. So Fort lvl 1-3 build one farm/corp, Fort lvl 3-6 build one more, and Fort lvl 6-9 build a third and final one. However... you do not have to at this present time, because most of the food and gold you will need you can find in the camps on your map that you win victories over.

  • Build a Science Center and start researching Woodcraft, Alloys, and Masonry. For now only research level 1 of Alloys and Masonry. Woodcraft is going to be far more important to you than the any other until you get to lvl 5.

  • Build Homes and change Tax rate to 50%, you can do this by clicking on your Fortress. I build 5 Homes.

NOTE:  If you decide to build your storage and/or your theater only build 3 homes.(You can if you only build a vault still build 3-5 homes, don't have to as it will take away from lowered que time that you get for every one garrison you have.) A storage is used to protect an allowed amount of 4 rss, Food, Wood, Metal, and Stone. If you are a low power level and fear being farmed/grinded it would be a good idea to build and level a Vault.  A Theater is used to increase the level of happiness of your citizens. Their level of happiness correlates with your numbers of pop and taxes. The happier they are, the more idle pop you'll have, and the more idle you have the more pop there will be to pay taxes. If you build a Theater you should not need as many homes. Never go past 50% taxes if you do not build either of these buildings. If you do and decide you want to get rid of one or any building later you can with a Mass Nullifier. One mass nullifier per building. They can be bought with 7 rubies or won from FC.

  • Build 5 Garrisons. You get a que for each Garrison you build that'll give you back all the resources you used to build them and when your 5th 1 is finished you'll get a quest that'll give 10k of each resources. After 5 you will not get any more quest for building Garrisons!

  • Upgrade Science Center to lvl 2 and research lvl 2 Woodcraft. Don't research Alloys or Masonry!

  • Build a Factory, Metal smith, Rookery, Sentinel, Officer's Quarters, and Muster Point. You don't need a Theater or Safe, but you can have both or one of the two if you want.

NOTE: Personally I'd go with the Vault over the Theater. If I had to choose, because although the theater helps to balance your pop so you have idle available to train troops.... you can cheat and go into your Fort drop the taxes down to 0%, go to your garrison and que up your troops, and go back to your Fort and up the taxes back to 50%. Plus, again I'll say it, you will be getting most of your gold and rss from doing trades, and victories over wilds and camps(getting them from camps and wilds is the quicker method as it will always take about 30 mins for a trade to be completed).

  • Upgrade Fortress to lvl 2. It'll give you 3 more plots in field to build resources and allow you to take an extra wilderness.

NOTE: Leveling up your Fort early can cause you to be at higher risk to be grinded but if you use the many methods available to keep your rss at a low sum this should not have to great of an effect on you. Plus you will be grinding for the rss you will need from camps and wilds. Avoid attacking other players when you are at low power. The first and simplest is use them. The second is build and level up a Vault. The third is before you go offline post as many access rss as you can on Trade. Trade is an excellent way of ridding yourself of unwanted rss as well as gaining ones that are need! Fourth, before you go offline you could send your extra rss to a member of your Alliance that can make use of them. The fifth only works if you are online and in an Alliance. It's called Floating and you do this by transporting as many rss as you can to an Alliance Member that is very far away from you than go to your Marching tab, click on the # of troops(it'll be in blue lettering and unlined like a hyperlink) you sent out, and recall the deployment before it reaches your teammate.

  • Build more Lumber mills, Mines, and Quarries. Upgrade all rss to lvl 4. When done you should have 12 resource buildings that are all lvl 4.

  • Upgrade Science Center to lvl 3 and research lvl 3 Woodcraft. If you don't have enough resources to upgrade then go to the next step and upgrade your Fort.

  • Upgrade Fortress to lvl 3. If you couldn't upgrade Science Center before you should be able to do it now.

  • Build more Lumber mills, Mines, and Quarries, and upgrade them to lvl 3.

  • Upgrade all Homes to lvl 3. This will give you more gold for research.

  • If you can upgrade Science Center to lvl 5 and research lvl 4 woodcraft. After lvl 4 woodcraft is done research lvl 1~5 Weapons Calibration (WC)

  • Upgrade 1 Garrison from lvl 1~4. With lvl 1 Weapons Calibration and a lvl 4 Garrison you can make LBM (Long bowmen)!

  • If you have the resources train 50 LBM!

Log out, take a break, and do something else if you haven't already. Come back when you feel like it or have gotten more important things done and out o the way. Note to self: You should really take your own advise and fold the laundry. >.>... or pretend to be Rambo and blow it up. XD
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as your LBMs are done you will be doing multiple things at a time!

  • Now as for buildings you are going to work only on your Rss, level 6 Fort, and level 5 SC.

NOTE: While I'm on I work on my resources just upgrading all of them to the same level over and over till they are all level 5~6. When I'm going offline for a few hours I upgrade my Science Center and Fortress since they take so long to upgrade. After SC reaches level 5 and Fort reaches level 6 stop upgrading them for now and only work on resources. The max level you can reach on your builds, without spending rubies or getting lucky in FC, is 9.

  • As for your 50 LBM take them around to some level 1 wilds. Fill you wildernesses up with forest, Mountains, and Hills. Then go and attack forest for wood, Mountains for metal, Hills for stone, Lakes and Savannas for food. The resources you build up here will be used for upgrading buildings, but mainly for build more LBMs. When you get 1,500 LBM make 100 Porters, or you may chose to wait until you can train ATs. If you decide to train ATs early start out with 25 for every 500 LBM you train.

NOTE: This is when you will begin grinding for you rss. Farming/Grinding is time consuming and requires some attention. So, try to find camps and wilds that are around 5 minutes away from your city (at least until you can work on researching Rapid Deployment), and have something else ready to do while you grind. Do your homework, read a book, crochet a dog sweat, do a yoga pose, fold some laundry, listen to some music, practice an instrument, watch TV, write a blog about your favorite game, anything that will allow you to stop and start at will. For attacking camps try to stay with a ratio for each deployment of 1k plus 500 LBM and about 75 ATs per lvl of the camp. So if you are attacking a lvl 1 send 1.5k LBM and 75 ATs, lvl 2 2.5 and 125, lvl 3 3.5k and 150, and so on. Try to avoid attacking other players and anything they might own on the map, if you can. It'll only stir up trouble, unless of course trouble is your middle name.

  • After you have a 5 Star General or after about 13 victories, 1,500 LBM, and 100 Porters you are ready to take level 1 camps. A lvl 1 camp holds 112k food, 15k lumber, 500 metal, and 500 stone. This is way better then hitting 1 wild and getting 1k of what ever resource it hold at a time.

NOTE: Armored Transports (AT) and LBM are a better combo so you could hold off and level up your garrisons to 6 and levitation to 3. 1 AT can carry a load of 5,000 (porters only carry 200) and have better defense, so even if all your offense die there is a chance that some of the ATs will make it back.

  • Fill empty spots in my city with lvl 1 Garrisons. You will see a drastic drop in the amount of time it takes to train troops. Then continue to train LBM and porters or ATs.

  • Upgrade Muster Point(MP) to lvl 5 so you can send out five attacks at a time and appoint a new General at your Officer Quaters for each upgrade on your MP. This will shorten how long it takes to build up resources. Train 1,500 LBM, and 500 Porters/25 ATs.

  • When you get up to a level 5 MP, upgrade Officer's Quarters to level 2 and appoint a fifth General.

NOTE: Every time you appoint a new General you have to go through the process of leveling them up to 5 stars so send them out to lvl 1 wilds until they get 13 victories for each and than you can send them off with 1.5k LBM and 500 Ports or 75 ATs each to lvl 1 camps. So that's five 5 star Generals, 7,500 LBM, and 2,500 Ports/125 ATs in total.

  • Upgrade your SC to a level 5 and research level 5 woodcraft. After you learn level 5 woodcraft start learning level 1 Levitation. I would research Levitation to level 5. Every lvl of Levitation cuts 10% off the time to upgrade and build buildings.

  • Suggestion to research Met to level 6 (you'll need to research more on Alloy for this), Med to level 4, and Clar to lvl 5. You may however research whatever you want after you have lvl 5 Levi.

  • Upgrade factory from lvl 1~3. Then upgrade your lvl 4 Garrison from 4~6. When you have level 6 Garrison, level 3 Factory, and level 3 Levitation, you can make ATs (Armored Transports).

  • Train 50 spies.

NOTE: Using spies in spy mode will help you to better know how many LBM and ATs you will need to send in order to overcome the number of defending troops and carry off all of the resources you win. Never send your spies into an attack only use them to spy and they also, while spying on someone, help to lower the number of defending troops on whichever it is you intend to attack. Higher level bases require a higher amount of spies to be sent when spying on someone. With that being said it might be advisable to always spy on bases before attacking, but some may tell you to never spy on camps. To that end the decision is up to you. If ever you try for a power event in the game train mass amounts of spies instead of cons. They train at about the same rate but will give you a higher amount of power.

  • Train 25 At's and when all your ports are in your city and dismiss them. You will no longer need Porters since you have ATs. Now when you attack a lvl 1 camp with 1,500 LBM and 25-75 AT's, you will get all the resources that camp has.

  • Your next task is to keep training ATs and LBM. You can take a lvl 2 camp with 2,500 LBM and 125 ATs, and a lvl 3 camp with 3,500 LBM and 150 ATs. With a 5 star General, 1,000 LBM, 75 ATs, lvl 6 Met, lvl 5 WC, and lvl 4 Med you can take a lvl 7 wild. So, you are almost ready to get your Water Dragon Egg (WDE) and Stone Dragon Egg (SDE). You can also drop all the low lvl wilderness you have and grab all lvl 7 wilds. This will give you a major boost to your rss.

TIME FOR AN EGG HUNT

NOTE: I would wait until you have all of your buildings in your city are upgraded and/or you have at least 5 five star Generals, 11k LBM, 5k ATs, 100 spies, and you have researched Met 6, Med 6, WC 7, Levi 5, and Dragonary to at least level 5 to begin working on your GD. You will need to upgrade your Rookery and Muster Point to level 5; Smith, Mine, Garrison, and Alloy to 6; and Officer's Quarters to 2.

  •  In order to get your first dragon eggs you need to attack with your Great Dragon (GD) in addition to your other troops, so you will need to get Great Dragon Armor(GDA) first.

  • Upgrade your Dragon Keep to at least 8 and attack lvl 5 or higher camps.

NOTE: You can get your GDA early if you have the troops and research already done but your Dragon Keep will need to be at least lvl 3. If you are experiencing large loses in your number of troops when farming for your GDA research more on Met, Med, and WC. Also add an extra 10% in ATs for each deployment. You can do a wave attack which has had the best success rate in any version of this game. It only took me between 5 and 20 minutes to get all my armor pieces and my dragon eggs. Here's a wikia link to give you farther information on wave attacking. http://dragonsofatlantis.wikia.com/wiki/Waving

  • When you are ready to start attacking a lvl 5 camp in waves. Begin by picking one that is closet to your city. Send in a 5 star General, 5k to 5.5k LBM, and 200 to 350 ATs in your first Deployment. Than select the same lvl 5 camp, Attack, either select "Use Last March" or you can individually choose the number for each troops remember to send in the same amount as the first deployment, and hit Attack again. Now watch your Second Deployment closely and wait for until it is about 30 seconds away from hitting the camp. Once at this point again selecting the same camp send in Attack mode a General and 1 spy. Keep sending to the same camp one General and one Spy until you see a report telling you that the spy has died.

NOTE: I ended up killing a lot of my spies, so it's ok if they die. Remember to open up each of your Reports. The armor will be in there. Take care though, on one of my armor adventures I sent out so many deployments that the server kicked me off and I could not get back on for one hour. I was sending out about 15 marches every few seconds. So if you keep the number down to 5 or so you should be alright.

  • Once you get that report that you spy has died. Again send out two deployments of a 5 star General, 5k to 5.5k LBM, and 200 to 350 ATs. Than, remembering to wait until the 2nd deployment is within 30 seconds of hitting the camp, continue on with all of your next Deployments being 1 General and 1 spy until you get another report that says they died and repeat the same process over again.

NOTE: It may take a while to collect all 4 pieces so don't get discouraged. For some people it takes them days to get it all either because they are having bad luck, not enough time, mess up the timing on the deployments, or life happens.

  • Once you have all 4 pieces of GDA begin researching Aerial Combat.

  • Capture lvl 7 or higher Plains. If you have no open spots in your Empire tab for a Plain than Abandon one of your Hills before you capture your first Plain. (Wood and Ore are very important rss and you need them a lot more than Stone for the moment.)

NOTE: Now we're going to be wave attacking wilds using relatively the same method as before with your GDA. The only difference is for the deployments that you would send in spies you will instead send in LBM, ATs, and your GD. Your GD will be sent out every third and fifth deployment. Be sure that you always have 2 deployments sent out and on its way to attack the wilds before sending your GD in a deployment to ensure that she takes very little to no damage and can continue to fight your troops. If you damage her to badly she will not be able to fight and will have to stay in her home until she is healed. If you do see her que for healing and it is over 10 minutes than you must wait.

  • Now to farm for your eggs you will need in every deployment 1,000 LBM, 300 AT with research of Met 6, WC 5, Med 4, Levi 5, AC 1-5 to a level 7 wild (these amounts will only work for a level 7 wilds). Send out 2 deployments each with a 5 star Gen, 1k LBM, and 300 ATs. On your third deployment send your 1k LBM, 300 ATs, 5 star Gen, and your GD. Than send out 2 more deployments with any General, 1k LBM, and 300 AT.

  • Wait for your first 2 deployments to come back. Send them back out; same numbers of troops. When your third returns, send it back out again with a General, 1k LBM, 300 AT, and your GD. The same goes for your last 2 deployments when they return send them back out and wait for the others to return.
NOTE: Keep doing this until you obtain your Egg, remembering to open your reports, and than yell WOOT, feel like a proud momma/pop, and begin on your Outpost. It is my understanding that the higher your AC research is the better success rate you will have for obtaining each of your eggs.  For a WDE the best place to get it is in a lvl 7 Lake. Takes about 15~20 minutes to get, but have heard of it taking days for people to get it. So good luck! Building your outpost on a lvl 7 plain will give you another 7 wilderness you can control. If you can obtain a plain higher than lvl 7 do so it will grant even more open spots to control wilds. For hints on where and how you can get your other dragon eggs, please go to your Empire tab and select each of the dragons and read the description provided. Some of them you may have to Google to find out or you can ask your fellow DoA players how they got theirs.

  • To build an OP go to your Empire Tab and select the dragon's picture to the egg you just obtained and follow the tutorial.

  • To get the SDE do the same thing as the WDE, but the egg is at lvl 7 Hills. When you get this egg build the op on a lvl 7 plain, or higher. This gives you 7 more wilderness or high pending n the lvl of the plains you captured prior to farming for your egg. So if you have a lvl 6 Fortress and 2 OPs each on a lvl 7 Plains you will have 18 wilderness spots you can control. Remember each time you build a new Outpost to first get a new Plain before filling the rest with Forests, Mountains, and Hills. The wilds you get using the spots given to you by your Outposts can't be removed unless you warp the OP to a new location.

NOTE: For a better understanding of how to do all of this please watch this YouTube video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja7_sQzsEw4, and read this blog http://pbody5205.hubpages.com/hub/Dragons-of-Atlantis-Water-Outpost-Guide

  • In the OPs I build 5 Homes and 20 Training Camps (TC) each. Grow all 5 Homes to lvl 5 and then just keep upgrading the TCs in both OPs. The OPs will train troops faster then your city, certain troops can only be trained in specific OP. Such as the WDOP can make FangTooths (FT).

NOTE:  For more strategies on building and protecting your OP read this blog http://gamelytic.com/dragons-of-atlantis/complete-guide-to-dragons-of-atlantis-outpost-strategy-and-builds

RESEARCH

  • Woodcraft to 5 should always be first.

  • Weapon Calibration/WC to 3-5 when you start training LBM. It increases LBM and other ranged damage abilities.

  • Levitation/Levi to 5, this cuts your build/upgrade time by 50%.

  • Mercantilism/Merc to 3. The easiest way to get more gold for research, and get rid of resources/rss which lowers the risk of being attacked by players. Also gives you more options on collecting needed rss.

After you have done research on Woodcraft, WC, Levi, and Merc. Begin on:

  • Alloys to 6. Next to Wood, Ore has a pretty high demand on your requirements list.

  • Medicine/Med to 5. This increases your troops health and chance of survival by a total of 25%.

  • Metallurgy/Met to 6. This will gives all troops an extra 30% increase to both their Attacks and their ability to survive. With an extra 30% to your Long Bowmen with their damage increase of 25% from WC and survival increase 25% from Med... thats 55% increase to attack and to survival for LBM. Making them one of the best troops to start with when you are at lower power levels.

Once you have done all this research you can pick and chose from here.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9 WAYS TO DEAL WITH BEING ATTACKED

1."Haha, I fooled you hoe bag!" Only works if you are on the game/server, have a level 5 Sentinel, and you're in an Alliance. It's called Floating and you do this by transporting as many rss as you can or all the extra rss that your Vault can't hold to an Alliance Member that is very far away from you. Than go to your Marching tab or to your Muster Point and recall your transport troops before they reach your teammate. I would only worry about wood, ore, and gold. Food is easy to get by attacking camps and Stone isn't all that high on the demand list. Gold is easily replaced through Trading but can be difficult if you don't have anything to post in exchange for the gold.

2. "Warp Speed Scotty!" If you get lucky in FC or are a Ruby spender, Warps are great for avoiding attack. Changing your location every once in a while is a good way to keep from being farmed an to confuse the hell out of those who were regularly attacking you. Worry more about your Main City than your Outposts. Your Outposts are very important yes but they can also make you into a target. So put them in locations that are far away and spread out. There is, however, one or two Outposts that are advised to keep close to your Main City.

3. "You're mean and I'm telling!" If you are under attack message the person who is attacking you. Be polite and if you want to have a little fun make it awkward but still be polite, which means no name calling. For this I would try to have a Sentinal of at least level 5. They could be attacking you because they think that you are inactive or not currently playing. Most are kind enough to apologize and recall their attacks. You could offer to make a Trade with them or even ask if they might like to join your group and  trade resources through transports. Also, please message your Overlord or one of your lords/leaders and let them know who attacked you (Player name, City Name, and Coordinates) and if they excepted either of your offers. However if you keep your resources at a low sum or below the amount that your Vault can hold you shouldn't really have to worry very much about being attacked.

4. "Pick on someone your own size!" Try to avoid attack other players as much as possible. This lowers the retaliation rate from other Alliance groups. If you just have to attack someone at least make it fair and attack someone who around your level. A level 19 attacking a level 9 is just uncalled for and a little cowardly. Also NEVER take your city out of "Hide" unless you know you got the guns to back it up.

5. "Use'um if you got'um or lose'um." Use as many of your rss as you can. Every time you log on first pick a research to que if you don't have one going. Than pick a building to build/upgrade. If you are going to be spending some time on your city choose ones that have the shortest time; like your resource building on your field (which should always be 1st priority) or your homes (which should be 4th priority) in your city. If you are going to be away for a while pick ones that take a awhile to build up. These are usually the buildngs inside your city, with your Homes being the exception, such as your Science Center (2nd priority) or your Fortress (3rd priority). The highest you can upgrade a building without getting lucky in FC or spending rubies is 9. Once you have a building and reseach going, go to your Garrison(5th) and train troops.

6."How's that brick taste?" Build and level up a Vault and your Wall both to at least 5. A level 5 Storage Vault can hold one million each of four rss; Food, Wood, Ore, and Stone. For that reason gold production although important for research and leveling up a few building isn't the most important  and is why many people do not think about building a Theater. (I consider the Theater more as a population balancer than for the gold production.) Gold is much easier to get from Trade, Wood and Ore always the highest in demand on Trade.

7. "I gots da monnay!" Before you go offline post as many access rss as you can on Trade. Trade is an excellent way of ridding yourself of unwanted rss as well as gaining ones that are need.  If you do Trade I would advise not going to a Unit price higher than 1.00. People that make trading prices higher than the amount they are Trading usually don't sell as quickly. Wood is the highest in demand on Trade and you might get away with a Unit price higher than 1. ORe is the second highest and I would sell it for a Unit price of 1. I would avoid posting food. It does not sell as well as you would think, Stone has a better sale rate than food. Weird right? As for Stone I would ty to keep the Unit price around 0.5. No one really attackes you for Gold or Stone. It's mostly Wood and Ore they are after.

8. "I lurvs jou!" Send your extra rss to  member(s) of your Alliance that can make use of them. This is just a nice way to help out the members that are lower power levels than you are. It is also a great way to break the ice and earn yourself friendship and status within your group. You could even become a lord/leader of your group. Try to be careful, though, of how much you send to each because large amounts can make them into targets for regular attacks. It might be best to message and ask in chat if anyone is on that might need resources.

9."The Bank of OH NOEZZZ!" If your Alliance has chosen to allow this role, send your rss to an Alliance Bank. Some Alliance groups have what they call a Bank. Some may even have more than one to keep transport times low, if they have a hgh amount of members, and to even out the odds of the bank being attacked. A bank is a a city within the Alliance that can hold, transport, and defend high amounts of resources. They also play out their role by sending out resources to members that request them.
